Planning Approval for Wick Joint Campus

The new building is located on the playing field site adjacent to the existing high school, with the existing school being demolished.

Ryder received planning approval for the Wick Joint Campus project which consolidates the existing Wick High School, the South Primary School, Pulteneytown Primary School, community library and swimming pool into one integrated campus.

As part of the Scottish Government’s Scotland’s Schools for the Future programme the campus will also include a new integrated nursery with 120 half day places for children, many of which will have complex learning difficulties. At its heart is the desire to create a stimulating environment that supports learning and teaching and is an aspiration to produce well educated and talented young adults.

Grade C listed buildings located to the front of the existing school are to be retained in line with the new masterplan.
