Cathy studied at Newcastle University and Leeds Metropolitan University. Her role involves masterplanning, public realm, site and contextual analysis, stakeholder engagement and heritage assessments, ensuring that sound urban design principles are carried through the design process. Key projects have included Crichton Estate framework, East Pilgrim Street South, Stoke on Trent International HS2 masterplan, Hartlepool Regeneration masterplan and Halbeath masterplan. She is a recognised practitioner in Urban Design and was a member of Ryder’s public interest design and One Planet Living workgroups, as well as leading the practice’s placemaking task and finish group. Cathy also supported Northern Architecture’s Young Urbanists programme and plays bass guitar in a band.
