Gordon Murray

Gordon has practised across Scotland for over 35 years covering a wide variety of sectors. He was professor of architecture and urban design at University of Strathclyde 2007 to 2015 and visiting professor in 2016. He has taught in schools of architecture in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and Newcastle as well as the Bauhaus in Dessau, Berlin and in Bilbao at the University of the Basque Country. Gordon is a member of Royal Town Planning Institute, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a conservation accredited architect of RIAS and RIBA. Following in his retirement in April 2020, in recognition of his contribution to the practice, Gordon became a Fellow of Ryder which, whilst carrying no commitment or responsibility, sees him providing guidance to the emerging younger generation of designers.
