Julie Hutchinson

Senior Architect

Julie completed her degree in architecture at the University of Liverpool where she was awarded the Anderson Bursary for exceptional undergraduates before joining Ryder in Gareth Callen’s Liverpool team in 2014. She has gained experience on a range of projects including Thames Valley Science Park and took part in a charity abseil down Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. Julie was awarded the Ryder Bursary before returning to her studies in London at the CASS. Here she has gained hands on experience, spending her first semester in Colombia designing and building a solar powered home for the Solar Decathlon competition. She is currently based in Andy Costa’s team, balancing work with her interest in the human scale impact of architecture. In her spare time, she is a content editor for Architecture in Development, and has a love for travelling, music and outdoor sports.
