Attitude is just as important as talent

We only employ people who share our values, commitment and ambition.  We invest in developing their skills and wellbeing with the Ryder Academy orchestrating development programmes from basic skills to professional qualifications and leadership coaching.

Our benchmark for engagement with our people is our continued top ranking in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For.

We have a rigorous selection process to identify highly motivated people at all levels from school leavers to graduates and experienced professionals.

We are committed to inspiring the next generation.  Our Build My Skills programme is recognised with the Prince of Wales Business in the Community BITC Award.  If you think you may be interested in a career in architecture and construction and are seeking some work experience we will be delighted to hear from you.

School leavers are enrolled on our pioneering PlanBEE initiative leading to a BEng in architectural engineering and management programme after intense paid part time study alongside people from all disciplines in the construction industry enabling you to earn while you learn.  We require a minimum of five GCSEs at grade B or above including mathematics and English language. At age 18 a minimum of three A levels or equivalent and grade C or above.  We also welcome mature applicants to this programme.

Graduates are employed on a two year development contract focused on supporting learning and development to obtain professional qualifications at the earliest opportunity in the two year period.  Once this is achieved you become eligible to apply for a permanent position with all the associated benefits.

In addition to the investment in developing our own talent we are always on the look out for like minded experienced people from all walks of life looking for a new challenge in architecture, engineering and construction.

Ryder is an equal opportunities employer and provide the structured guidance of a mentor for all recruits.
