Value£23m

Area10,322sqm

An integrated working environment bringing together 400 people including police officers, community support officers and police staff with management, support and training facilities as well as a large 40 cell custody suite.

The building is organised over three floors around a unifying glazed concourse which brings natural light into its heart, making it a welcoming space for the public and the officers and staff based there.

The largely open plan office accommodation has been designed to meet the needs of a modern police force, but is flexible and can be adapted to meet future requirements.  It is open 24 hours a day and fully open to the public.

“We’re delighted that our North Tyneside policing teams and staff will be working from this modern, fit for purpose police station.  The building has been designed to meet the needs of Northumbria Police now, and in the future, and gives us the flexibility to develop our services so that we can continue to drive down crime and anti social behaviour.”
