Commercial Awards Success for Innovative Gaming HQ

Tombola House has won the Commercial Project of the Year (15,000-30,000sqft) in the Mixology North Awards.

The submission was a collaborative entry between international design practice Ryder Architecture and Ryder Alliance partners Ward Robinson, who provided interior design and project management services.

Tombola House is a bespoke three storey new build for tombola, Europe’s largest gaming company, and comprises flexible office space around a central atrium.  The development provides a socially enriching environment to tombola’s team of up to 200 employees.

The judging criteria focused on four areas – design originality and innovation, sustainability, staff retention and how the building achieved the client’s business objectives.  The judges were particularly impressed with the unification of the architecture and interior design as well as how the scheme perfectly matched the brief.

Paul Milner, senior architect at Ryder and project architect of Tombola House, said “We are extremely proud with the recent Mixology award for Tombola House.  Receiving such recognition is a testament to the hard work of the project team who embraced the vision and design principles from the outset – ensuring an experiential coherence between the architecture and interior design.  The feedback we have received to date from staff, visitors and critics has been fantastic.”

Organised by Mix Group, The Mixology awards honour the very best in commercial interiors, including projects, products and people.
