Understanding the significance of historic environments is the foundation of our whole life approach to the reuse and regeneration of our built assets to deliver sustainable social, environmental and economic benefits.
By 2050, almost seven billion people are projected to live in urban areas across the world, placing immense pressure on resources and infrastructure. Upgrading our buildings where possible will not only increase the resilience of our communities, but reduce emissions posed by the built environment, as well as address environmental and socioeconomic challenges that may arise.
We adopt a holistic approach for addressing retrofit through our unique categorisation system, where each of our categories is interconnected and when we address one aspect we will often benefit another, maximising the end result.
