Ryder Architecture is delighted to share the completion of the Soudah Urban Design Code, following 18 months of collaboration.
Developed for Soudah Development, the urban design code will guide existing and future development for the Soudah Peaks site, covering a 627km² landscape, in the Aseer province in south west Saudi Arabia.
The project forms part of Saudi Vision 2030, a government programme promoting increased diversification. A significant part of this is Soudah Peaks, a luxury mountain tourism destination expected to contribute over $7bn to Saudi’s GDP by attracting 2 million tourists by 2033. The code encompasses the public realm and landscape, architecture and built form, townscape and streetscape and boundary treatments.
The project is delivered in partnership with Soudah Development, Urban Col.labs, Urban Place Network, Amo and Partners Engineering and King Khalid University.
