Ryder Architecture launches its 60th birthday celebrations in Glasgow with a stunning exhibition which opens at The Briggait on 10th May 2013 until 24th May 2013.
Our 60th Exhibition Tour Comes to Newcastle
Ryder continue to celebrate 60 years of leading and award winning architectural design with the opening of its fourth and final UK exhibition.
The impressive 16 metre long display covers the heritage, values, ethos and design expertise of the company, consistently carried through an impressive body of work over six decades. It remains open to the public at the venue throughout November with a range of events including an exhibition of a project set by Ryder for schoolchildren from Beech Hill Primary School, West Denton (14 November) and a joint RIBA / Ryder event on educating the next generation of built environment specialists (21 November).
Approaching 150 clients from major contractors and developers attended the event. Ryder’s exhibition tour of its offices in Glasgow, Liverpool and London this year has been hugely successful and it is fitting it now returns to its roots in Newcastle, where the company was founded in 1953, in a Ryder designed building.
Tony Durcan, Newcastle City Council head of libraries and lifelong learning, said “We’re delighted Ryder chose to celebrate 60 years of leading architecture in Newcastle City Library. From the time it opened we had such positive feedback from the people of the city and it has exceeded all expectations.
“I wish them well for the future and am glad to see they are continuing to have such a positive impact on the city’s physical appearance through work on Newcastle Central Station and Newcastle College Gateway, as well as reaping success further afield in London and the Far East.”
Ryder’s senior partner Peter Buchan said “This is a momentous occasion which provides us with a unique opportunity, to underline a point in our history where we can celebrate great achievement, not just in architecture, but in our values and ethos as a company, demonstrated by becoming a Sunday Times top 100 company this year.”
Ryder Architecture continues to celebrate its 60th birthday year with the successful launch of a Ryder retrospective exhibition at the Building Centre.
Ryder Architecture continues to celebrate 60 years of leading and award winning architectural design across the UK with its exhibition in Mann Island, Liverpool, which opens on 3 October.
