Chris Malcolm

Chris joined Ryder in 2012, and has worked across the length and breadth of Scotland in a wide range of sectors including education, office and residential.  He believes strongly in the importance of place and history influencing design, ensuring projects achieve the greatest benefits to their communities in a manner appropriate for their setting.  He has been involved in architectural education for over twenty years, teaching at both the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow School of Art, and was elected a Fellow of the RIAS in 2020.  Chris became a partner of Ryder in 2020.  In his spare time, he enjoys hill walking and is a keen student of history.
