Paul joined Ryder after completing his master's with distinction in urban design. Having concluded his architectural studies at the University of Newcastle, Blueprint journal acknowledged him in the top 50 design graduates of 2009. Paul delivers a masters module and acts as a visiting critic to Newcastle University students, a position held since 2011. He also leads a project based programme to raise awareness of the built environment to local secondary schools. Recent projects include the redevelopment of Grade II listed Citygate House, Newcastle International Airport and Ashington Leisure Centre. Paul is currently delivering several high spec office developments, most notably Tombola Campus. He enjoys playing squash, oil painting and collecting and tasting single malt whisky. He has an interest in behavioural and cognitive psychology and psycho geography.
