Alan trained and worked as an architectural technician before studying architecture and qualifying in 1993. Alan is responsible for design and construction stages of the projects including the Low Carbon Vehicle Research Development Centre at Nissan, North of the River Primary, Wick Campus and East Caithness Community Programme. To relax he enjoys touring the UK and Europe in his 1973 Volkswagen Campervan with his family.
