Alissar joined Ryder in 2021, after graduating from the University of Strathclyde in 2020 with a degree in advanced architectural design. During her final year she was awarded the Professor Charles Gourlay Memorial Prize. Alissar has previous experience in residential design and masterplanning and enjoys exploring the relationship between activism, politics, and the built environment, with a focus in post conflict reconstruction. She is also passionate about writing, discourse, and the inclusion of young people in the profession, which she channels through her role as Designer in Chief for ism architecture magazine. In her spare time, Alissar enjoys travelling and cooking.
