Peter Buchan

Fellow

Peter joined Ryder in 1977 after graduating from Birmingham School of Architecture and became a partner in 1984. He worked with the founding partners and developed a profound respect for their modernist approach and focus on multi disciplinary design and the social contribution of architecture. Peter retired in April 2020. In recognition of his significant contribution to the development of the practice for over 40 years, he became the first Fellow of Ryder which, whilst carrying no commitment or responsibility, sees him providing guidance to the emerging younger generation of designers.
