Ryder were commissioned for the design and redevelopment of Dunoon Primary School for Argyll and Bute Council (A&BC) in 2015.
The project represents an opportunity to demonstrate how existing school buildings, often located within the heart of the surrounding community can be refurbished and remodelled to provide an optimised educational setting for pupils, staff and the wider community, whilst still providing spaces as flexible as a new build for the delivery of curriculum for excellence.
It was a pathfinder project for delivering a substantial refurbishment of a listed building combined with new build through the Hub procurement process.
