Ryder led the design of a new urban village on the outskirts of Gateshead town centre providing 400 new dwellings knitted into the urban fabric of the town centre and Gateshead’s iconic quayside.
The development creates an eye catching, fun place to live and is instantly recognisable as part of the family of iconic developments including exemplars of sustainable housing.
The masterplan includes park on a north / south axis defining the spine to the scheme characterised by a sequence of event spaces including play areas, community orchard and shops providing an excellent new amenity.
