Masterplanning and residential development on the north bank of the River Clyde.
The development, on the former site of colossal granary buildings, challenges the perceptions of riverside development. Here, on the harbour, 770 apartments in five 16 storey tower buildings respond to the scale of the granaries but avoid the over shadowing of the old buildings by orientation to maximise penetration of sunlight into the site and to ensure all flats enjoy a river view.
Between the public squares and the bases of the taller buildings are a series of enclosed garden spaces which open onto the riverside walkway.
External balconies allow occupants to take advantage of the open aspect overlooking the gardens and public spaces.
