A calming interior reflecting quality of life.
Ryder was commissioned to provide the interior design fit out for the global headquarters for a multinational consumer goods company. Located in west London, the facilities span 5,110spm over two floors and houses approximately 400 roles.
Our aim was to design an environment that fosters a culture of collaboration, agility and flexibility through optimises the use of space.
The new office acts as a physical manifestation of the client’s values and enhances the experience for all stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, suppliers, and potential new talent.
Putting employee health first
The ground floor acts as the central hub, offering essential amenities including meeting suites and multifaith and wellbeing areas. A welcoming reception and waiting area, overlooking the willow pond, greets visitors and leads to the client suites. The staff restaurant and deli bar shares these impressive views over the park with direct access to the alfresco terrace.
The upper floor features cellular and open plan flexible office space with a mix of quiet and collaborative areas, promoting transparency and accommodating diverse work styles. The arrangement is considered around daylight and outward views.
Contemporary grandeur
Many of the design solutions are a modern interpretation of the business's heritage, including the arch, garden village, industrial strength and timber craftmanship.
A collaborative process
Working across both our London and Newcastle interiors teams, Ryder delivered the project from brief and feasibility through to occupation in as little as 18 months, on time and to budget.
The design, client and contractor teams worked collaboratively throughout the project, enabling a well considered end result as well as a thoroughly enjoyable process.
