The centre, which is linked to the Royal University Hospital, is designed to meet the needs of the biomedical and life science sectors.

The scheme provides a split of laboratories and offices, with an emphasis on biology and chemistry laboratory flexible space. It responds to the proposed masterplan for the hospital’s redevelopment and the potential for ongoing phased development.

The plan clearly expresses the different but inter-related functions of office, laboratory, write up and meeting spaces with an appropriate level of specification to permit the right level of flexibility for each.
