Bright, bold and beautiful.

Working with our client D&D London, the brief was to create a fine dining restaurant on the 24th floor, with the ground floor café bar offering a more informal experience during the daytime and a glamorous bar at night.

A leading design reference is to the banking heritage of the site, including incorporating the original cast aluminium banking doors in the café bar, as well as richly veined marble floors, oak and walnut timbers, wall panelling and a generosity of scale.

Inspiration from the city’s nearby jewellery quarter is seen throughout the interiors. For example, the use of finely detailed golden metalwork to the café bar, the gold veining of the marble restaurant floor and bar, bespoke light fittings and jewellike colours in the furniture fabrics.

Experience Orelle.

The name Orelle derives from the French words for gold (or) and her (elle), as well as being the name of a French mountain village, making a subtle link to the modern French inspired menu. Opened in October 2022, Orelle has quickly become established as one of the city’s leading destination restaurants.
