Ryder has helped Forth Energy secure Section 36 Consent from the Scottish Government for the 100MW biomass renewable energy plant.

It is designed to provide low carbon energy to the local area and is capable of delivering more than 40% of the Fife Council area’s electricity needs.

The design draws inspiration from the existing and former uses around the proposed site, a former Naval Dockyard, in order to reflect the industrial character of the surrounding area and create a strong connection with past features of marine engineering. It functions at long range as a gateway within the setting of the Forth estuary.
