Newcastle recently hosted its first ever WoodFest, a week of events to promote the use of wood in the built environment.
Ryder Architecture took part by holding two panel discussion events at Cooper’s Studios around healthy buildings and offsite construction. Both events were hosted by Dr Oliver Jones, research director at Ryder.
This event focussed on how to deliver healthy buildings and communities in the current environment, using results from international research projects and latest developments in healthy placemaking, the role of landscaping and green infrastructure.
Industry experts, including Ian Crow, architectural director at Ryder, discussed the impact of offsite construction as well as its potential as a solution for future homes in the north east of England.
