The Duke of Gloucester presents Ryder Architecture with Queen’s Award for Enterprise

His Royal Highness was welcomed into Cooper’s Studios by managing partner, Mark Thompson, who gave a tour of the Newcastle headquarters and shared an overview of Ryder’s history, recent projects, and community impact initiatives, before gathering alongside colleagues to accept and celebrate the accolade in the building’s atrium.

The Queen’s Awards are the most esteemed awards for business, celebrating the outstanding achievements of organisations across the country.

Ryder’s recent projects include planning approval for HMRC, Pilgrim’s Quarter, in Newcastle, net zero carbon offices on Tyneside for the world’s largest windfarm at Dogger Bank, Whipps Cross Hospital redevelopment in London, completion of Pacific Residence for University for British Columbia in Vancouver, completion of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong, and BIM strategies for Qatar public works department and Hellas Gold by its digital consultancy BIM Academy.
