Oktoberfest Returns for its Sixth Year

Ryder Architecture, Hydrock and Ward Hadaway celebrate the return of Oktoberfest

The charity event will be hosted on 26 October at Brinkburn St Brewery, Ouseburn, welcoming the regional business community to enjoy an evening of German street food, themed ales / drinks, and live entertainment all in aid of our nominated charity organisations.  There will also be various opportunities throughout the evening, such as a raffle and silent auction, to further support our nominated charities, LaunchpadNewcastle Dog and Cat Shelter, and Newcastle United Foundation.

Speaking about the upcoming event, James Lowdon, business development executive at Ryder, commented: “We are delighted to welcome the return of Oktoberfest for another year with Hydrock and Ward Hadaway.  It is always a great turnout and atmosphere and, most importantly, we hope to bring as much awareness and support to this year’s fantastic charities as possible.”

Launchpad provide specialist support for veterans from all backgrounds in their transition from military to civilian life, including accommodation, health and wellbeing, employment and financial aid, and connecting the veterans community.

Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter, who provide animal support and care, recently announced they are temporarily bringing its operations together at single site due to significant financial pressures caused by the cost of living crisis.

Harnessing the city and region’s passion for football, Newcastle United Foundation provide safe spaces for children and adults of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities to connect through sport, including their incredible community and education programmes.

Chris Chennell, regional director at Hydrock, commented, “Hydrock is proud to sponsor the Ryder Oktoberfest, an event that raises significant funds for local charities.  Our decision to support Launchpad, a nonprofit that helps transition veterans into civilian life, has significant meaning to our colleagues who are proud members of the ex forces community.  We’re looking forward to celebrating at Brinkburn St Brewery with food, drinks, and music, all while supporting three great charities.”

Alistair McDonald, business development director at Ward Hadaway, commented, “The Built Environment team at Ward Hadaway are excited to partner with Ryder Architecture and Hydrock in the sponsorship of Ryder’s Oktoberfest 2023.  We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to be involved in such a great event and in doing so, provide much needed support to some fantastic local charities.”

We hope to welcome businesses across the region. Tickets will include a food and two drinks token, and can be purchased online through Eventbrite.
