Coatham Water Sports Centre and Public Realm

The revival of Redcar as a seaside destination is being enriched through the transformation of Coatham seafront, benefiting the local community and visitor economy.

The new masterplan draws on the distinctive character of the coastal rock formations and Coatham Green dunescape, and frames iconic views to create a strong identity and sense of place.

The layout includes a central plaza, public space with a water sports centre to accommodate beach activities, public toilet facilities and a food and beverage offer.  A new playground, crazy golf, beach huts, and horsebox facilities add to the attractions and reasons to visit.
