This grade II listed building sits on the eastern edge of the Finzels Reach development overlooking the historic Floating Harbour.
Following extensive listed building and historic England negotiations, consent was granted to reimagine this former Tramways electricity generating building as a series of flexible twenty first century workplaces.
Each floor created differing challenges and opportunities that led to a variety of high quality spaces being created, all of which are visually connected to the adjacent harbour.
At the heart of this project’s narrative is the desire to successfully combine the requirements of modern services and technology with the building’s rich historic character.
The original building entrance has been reinstated with a new double height reception space, along with new WC, lift and stair cores and contemporary open plan office spaces, featuring exposed services, over six levels.
